Options Are Risky
Options involve substantial risk and are not suitable for all investors. Options can expire worthless. Some options strategies can lose the full premium paid. Other options strategies can involve losses greater than the amount invested, including large or unlimited losses.
You are responsible for understanding the risk, margin, liquidity, assignment, exercise, expiration, tax, and account-approval consequences of any options transaction before entering it.
No Recommendation or Advice
Contract Terminal does not recommend that you buy, sell, hold, open, close, or modify any security, option contract, spread, or trading strategy. Outputs from the app are informational analytics only.
Scores, rankings, classifications, reason codes, evidence sections, implied moves, contract candidates, trigger levels, support levels, resistance levels, invalidation levels, watch states, and scanner labels are not guarantees, predictions, or personalized recommendations.
Event and Earnings Risk
Earnings releases, regulatory events, clinical-trial milestones, FDA advisory events, SEC filings, macroeconomic releases, central-bank events, and other catalysts can cause sudden price gaps, volatility spikes, volatility collapses, liquidity changes, spreads to widen, and option prices to move sharply.
Event dates, event windows, and source records may be estimated, delayed, postponed, revised, cancelled, stale, incomplete, or wrong. Estimated-window events should be treated as watch states, not confirmed timestamps.
Binary or regulatory catalysts can create especially high gap risk. Contract Terminal may classify some event situations as higher risk or defined-risk-only, but the app does not construct trades for you and does not guarantee that any actual position is risk-defined.
Market Data Risk
Option-chain data, prices, Greeks, implied volatility, earnings data, news data, and event-source data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, stale, inaccurate, or subject to provider errors. Bid/ask spreads, volume, open interest, and liquidity can change quickly.
The reviewed app code uses Yahoo Finance/yfinance paths for market, price, expiration, and option-chain data; Nasdaq earnings calendar paths and local stored earnings data for earnings-calendar workflows; Finnhub company-news paths when configured for stock-news features; and official or public event-source adapters for supported non-earnings events.
Supported official event data sources include SEC EDGAR, FDA advisory committee pages, ClinicalTrials.gov, Federal Reserve FOMC calendars, BLS calendars, and BEA release-date data. These sources do not endorse Contract Terminal, Precision Decision LLC, or any output produced by the app.
You should verify all quotes, expirations, strikes, contract specifications, event dates, source documents, and trading conditions with independent sources and your brokerage platform before making any decision.
Model and Score Risk
Contract Terminal scanner outputs are model-driven estimates based on available inputs. Models can be wrong. They may fail in unusual markets, illiquid names, missing-data conditions, stale data conditions, event revisions, corporate actions, symbol changes, or high-volatility regimes.
High scores do not mean a trade is safe, profitable, suitable, or likely to succeed. Low scores do not mean there is no risk or no opportunity.
No Brokerage, Custody, or Execution
Contract Terminal does not open brokerage accounts, execute trades, route orders, custody assets, clear trades, handle customer funds, or manage positions. Any transaction you enter outside Contract Terminal is your sole responsibility.
